Delete your Upshot account

You can delete your Upshot account yourself, any time, from inside the app. Nobody has to approve it.

In the app

1. Open Upshot and tap your profile circle (top right), which opens Account. 2. Tap Delete account. 3. Confirm. You are signed out and can no longer sign in with that account.

If you are the only admin of a team that has other people on it, the app asks you to make someone else an admin first, so the team is not left without one. If you are a league's only director, the same applies. A team where you were the only member is archived.

What is deleted

  • Your name and email address, and your sign-in.
  • Your notification settings, muted teams and the devices registered for notifications.
  • Your private calendar link, your read markers and your place on each team's roster of people.
  • Your join requests and what you wrote on them.

What stays, and why

  • Game records you helped create (for example baskets you scored as a scorekeeper) stay in the team's history, attributed to a deleted user. A game's record has to stay intact for the team and the other families.
  • Messages you wrote on a Team Board stay in the team's thread, shown as from a deleted user, unless a team admin removes them.

If you cannot use the app

If you no longer have the app or your phone, email by email at support@upshotgameday.com, or in the app under Account, then Report a problem from the address on the account and say you want the account deleted. We confirm and delete it after checking the request really comes from the account's owner.

A child's information

A team admin can remove a player from a team. If you are responsible for a child, you can ask us to delete anything we hold about them by emailing by email at support@upshotgameday.com, or in the app under Account, then Report a problem.
